The Great Migration Safari - River Crossing, August to October
This safari has been designed with the aim of witnessing the Great Migration crossing the Mara River. At the beginning of the dry season in the Serengeti end of June, the herds of wildebeest start heading to northern Serengeti around Lobo area and Kogatende where the grass is green. From July to September, migration safaris hold the excitement of herds crossing the Mara River. As the animals enter the water, individuals are taken by crocodiles. Their sacrifice secures the survival of this extraordinary journey of species. Huge herds of wildebeest and zebra can easily be seen crossing the Mara River to Kenya's Masai Mara. Kindly note that this is a natural phenomenon in rare cases the Great Migration be affected by rainfall, availability of water and food in the area, predators, and nutrition contents in the grasses.

Arusha | Serengeti through the Great Rift Valley escarpment and Ngorongoro Highland
After enjoying a sumptuous breakfast, we will drivel into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti – with its green endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Serengeti, featuring the Seronera River, which is a source of the water to this area and hence acts a bloodstream to wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.. The majority of the big cats can normally be found around Seronera Valley and Makoma area. The area is not only heavily populated with a large number of predators but also other animals can easily be seen elephant, birds and resident game.
Spend more time searching out wildlife and exploring the northern Serengeti's rich landscapes. The Great Migration and Big predators are the most well-known of the Serengeti's offerings, but there is much more to see. Thousands of equally fascinating dramas of a smaller scale play themselves out on these endless plains.
Once you return from wildlife viewing, take time to sit by the fire and relax. Exchange stories of the day, write in your journals or simply enjoy the fresh evening cool breeze.
Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over the great migration.
Enjoy a full day game drive in the Serengeti National Park. The majority of the wildebeest migration normally crosses Mara River from the Serengeti to Kenya’s Masai Mara. The Mara River is the place to be, with river crossings proving to be the main attraction for this safari.
Explore the pristine landscapes of the Serengeti National park with your safari guide's uncanny wildlife spotting instincts leading the way. Endless plains of the Serengeti, the kopjes - dramatic granite outcrops, savannah grassland/ woodland, and riverine valleys are the home to a variety of fascinating wild animals, from the lowly dung beetle to the impressive African elephant.
Serengeti National Park | Ngorongoro Highland - Gibb's Farm
Right after a sumptuous breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area through the Maasai Steppe, and then proceed into the Green Forest of Ngorongoro Highlands. We will be staying at an Eco-lodge, Gibb's Farm and enjoy our hot organic meals (where nearly every ingredient comes fresh from the estate's organic farm) feel free to participate in a leisurely short walk and muscles stretch through the gardens of Gibb's Farm.
There will be no drive so spend the evening hours at leisure, relax and explore the lodge’s facilities.
We depart from the lodge after breakfast and descend down over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing wildlife until late afternoon.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a home of a vast variety of wild creatures, including herds of wildebeest and elephants, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo etc. The Crater supports a dense population of predators like lions, jackals, packs of hyenas, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will drive along a Soda Lake (Lake Magadi) - a shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner providing good shelter for a large number of flamingos. More than 400 species of birds have been recorded in the area. You will have a chance of searching out the rarely-seen black rhino.
At midday, we will drive to Ngoitoktok picnic site where we will stop for lunch while enjoying the panoramic viewing of the Crater. After having our packed lunch continue with more game viewing around Munge River until late afternoon when you will start ascending up the Crater.
