Detailed itinerary

DAY 1: 

Mwanza city | Serengeti national park via Ndabaka gate
Soon after having your breakfast depart at 8.45am for 2hr30min drive to the World famous Serengeti National park through the western Savannah woodland. 

Serengeti is arguably the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world. It is the home of millions of large mammals, including what is so called the Big 5: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and the rarely seen black rhinoceros. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded in the area, including eagles, bustards, owls, cranes, herons, vultures, and secretary birds. It is here where the world’s great migration is observed. Some of Africa's biggest crocodile lie in wait in Serengeti rivers.

Day 2:
Serengeti national park | Ngorongoro highland.

After breakfast depart for half day game viewing in the Serengeti before proceeding to Ngorongoro highland. 

Explore an uncountable number of animals through savannah grasslands, islands in the sea of grass “kopjes”, acacia forests and savannah woodland. Our professional guide is always happy to share with you lots of hidden secrets in the Serengeti, why Serengeti shall never die, how the endless plain was formed and its roles in the great migration. Get to know why the park was named "Serengeti" instead of its original name 'Siringet"  and much much more..!

This day you have an option of visiting either Masai village or the Olduvai Gorge (some believe to be the cradle of mankind). Olduvai Gorge is the place where Dr. Louis Leakey and his wife Mary excavated remaining of Zinjanthropus and other ancient hominid fossils.

DAY 3:
Ngorongoro Crater | Great Rift Valley escarpment
After early breakfast descends down the crater for half day game viewing. At noon drive to the picnic site for lunch while enjoying the scenic view of the Ngorongoro crater and drive through the Great Rift Valley.

The Ngorongoro crater, which has been declared a world heritage site, lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area that covers more than 8000 sq.km  With an area of 304 sq. km. the crater is the home of up to 30,000 large mammals. More than 100 species of birds not found in the Serengeti have been recorded here. This is the world's largest unbroken caldera and the 8th wonder of the world.  Our friendly safari guide is always happy to share with you about the behind the scene perspectives about the formation of the caldera, ecological facts and much much more..!

This is the only place in Africa where it is easy to find big cats like lions (5 prides of lions have been recorded), cheetah, clans of hyena, jackals, serval cats a few to mention. Search out for rarely seen black rhino

After early lunch, drive to the exit gate through the green forest of the Ngorongoro highland and drive to Umali Lodge.

DAY 4:
Tarangire National park (Full day game viewing)

After breakfast departs for game viewing in Tarangire national park, spend a full day enjoying the beauty of Tarangire National park. 

Tarangire is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular in June and September, the dry period. During this time, thousands of animals including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, elands, kudu, wildebeest, hartebeest, and the rarely seen Oryx, migrate from Masai Steppe to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lions, leopards and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire has the largest population of elephant in any park in the northern circuit and more than 500 species of birds have been recorded. Our professional safari guide is always happy to share with you lots of ecological and ethological facts like the secret behind baobab trees and elephants in Tarangire, the roles of Tarangire River and much much more..!

Day 5

Tarangire National park | Serengeti national park via Ngorongoro highland.
After breakfast depart for game viewing in the Serengeti (We will drive through Ngorongoro highland on our way to Serengeti national park).

Explore an uncountable number of animals through the endless plains of the Serengeti, islands in the sea of grass “kopjes”, acacia forests and savannah woodland. Serengeti will fulfill all our safari expectations due to its natural beauty and a higher concentration of wild creatures. Our friendly guide will share with you behind the scene perspectives, the connection between living things and non-living and how creatures depend on each other, how the Serengeti has no room for randomness and much more...! making your safari more memorable and enjoyable!

You won’t have enough of the Serengeti. As you make your way back to the lodge make sure to keep your eyes open for birds, including our very own Shrike, eastern white-crowned shrike.

DAY 6: 

Serengeti National park | Drive back to Mwanza
Depart at 6.00am for early morning (sunrise) game viewing. Later drive back to the lodge for a sumptuous breakfast while enjoying the cool breeze from acacia trees surrounding the lodge as well sounds of hippos. 

Early morning is the best time for game viewing as most of the killings take place around this time. Our professional guide is always happy to share with you lots of hidden secrets in the Serengeti, why Serengeti shall never die, how Darwin's theory, survival of the fittest applies in the Serengeti and much much more...

After breakfast, drive back to the exit gate while enjoying game viewing on our way.
