DAY 1: 
Arrive in Tanzania via Kilimanjaro International airport.

A Shrike Safaris representative will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your tonight's hotel, just a short drive away.

DAY 2: 
Arusha City | Serengeti national park 

After your early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to the World famous, Serengeti National Park. On arrival, you will be met by a representative from Shrike Safaris for your first game viewing in the Serengeti.

Serengeti is arguably the best known for its Great Migration in the world. It is here where millions of large mammals, including herds of wildebeest and zebra and what is so called the 'Big 5' elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and the rarely seen black rhinoceros. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded in the area, including eagles, bustards, owls, cranes, herons, vultures, and secretary birds. Some of Africa's biggest crocodile lie in wait for thirst wildebeest and zebra and in Serengeti rivers.

DAY 3: 
Serengeti national park | Full Day Game viewing.
After breakfast depart for full day game viewing in the Serengeti with game viewing at Seronera, the heart of the Serengeti and later proceed to Western corridor of the Serengeti.

Serengeti is arguably the Africa’s breathtaking National park. It is the home of millions of large mammals, including what is so called the Big 5: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and the rarely seen black rhinoceros. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded in the area, birds of prey, vultures, lovebirds, cranes, bateleur, weavers, and our very own Shrike-Northern White-crowned Shrike. 
It is here where the world’s great migration takes place annually. Nile Crocodiles, the largest crocodile lie in wait in Serengeti rivers.

DAY 4 & 5:
The Great Migration| Ndutu Plains.
After breakfast depart from the camp and drive to Ndutu plains on Ngorongoro side which is the breeding area for the Great Migration. 

Depart the cool, grassy Ngorongoro Conservation Area and later arrive on the Ndutu plains where large herds of wildebeest and zebra are found in this part of Ngorongoro. Follow the great migration! It has been recorded that in the first 2 weeks of March more than 200,000 calves of wildebeest are born in the plains. This is the calving period. The Serengeti/ Ngorongoro ecosystem has become a household name largely due to film depictions of its migration. Often misunderstood, the migration is actually a year-round process involving over one million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra.

DAY 6:
Following the Great Migration.
After breakfast depart from the camp and drive direct to the World famous Serengeti National park via the endless plains. 

Explore an uncountable number of animals through savannah grasslands, islands in the sea of grass “kopjes”, acacia forests and savannah woodland. Our professional guide is always happy to share with you lots of hidden secrets in the Serengeti, why Serengeti shall never die, how the endless plain was formed and its roles in the great migration. Get to know why the park was named "Serengeti" instead of its original name 'Siringet"  and much much more..!

DAY 7:
Ngorongoro Crater | Full Day Game viewing.

After early breakfast descend down the Ngorongoro crater for fantastic full day game viewing 

The Ngorongoro crater, which has been declared a world heritage site, lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area that covers more than 8000 sq.km  With an area of 304 sq. km. the crater is the home of up to 30,000 large mammals. More than 100 species of birds not found in the Serengeti have been recorded here. This is the world's largest unbroken caldera and the 8th wonder of the world.  Our friendly safari guide is always happy to share with you about the behind the scene perspectives about the formation of the caldera, ecological facts and much much more..!

This is the only place in Africa where it is easy to find big cats like lions (5 prides of lions have been recorded), cheetah, clans of the hyena, jackals, serval cats a few to mention. Search out for rarely seen black rhino

This day you have an option of visiting either Masai village or the Olduvai Gorge (some believe to be the cradle of mankind). Olduvai Gorge is the place where Dr. Louis Leakey and his wife Mary excavated remaining of Zinjanthropus and other ancient hominid fossils.

Day 8:
Lake Manyara National Park | Full Day Game viewing

After breakfast depart drive to Lake Manyara National Park for full day game viewing in the park. 

Lake Manyara is famous for tree-climbing lions and pythons. The national park consists of underground natural forest that opens up into woodlands, grassland, and swamps beyond the soda lake itself covering 200 sq. km. Over 400 species of birds have been spotted, including flamingos, pelican, storks, cormorants, egrets, and geese. Our professional safari guide is always happy to share with you lots of behind the scene ideas, why trees in Lake Manyara have adopted climbing trees, how was the Great Rift Valley was formed and much much more..!

Day 9:

Transfer to the airport.
( Depending on your flight time). After breakfast drives back to Arusha and proceeds to the airport. This day  you have an option of visiting some curio/ gift shops for shopping and buying handcrafted products as well as precious gem 'tanzanite'
