Detailed itinerary

Day 1: 
Arrival Nairobi, Kenya.
 A Shrike Safaris representative will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your tonight's lodge, Giraffe Manor.

The Giraffe Manor, Africa's pride of international celebrity. Since its founders, Jock and Betty Leslie-Melville rescued a baby giraffe named Daisy from a heavily-poached area of western Kenya in 1974, their home has become a household name among wildlife lovers worldwide - and Daisy a star in her own right.  Today, Daisy's home has been opened to the world - and provides what is 
felt is the very best place to begin or end your safari or if in a conference or transit it worth coming close to wildlife from the bustle of the city where you feed giraffes with your own hands and have the closest touch.

Day 2: 
| Nairobi | Masai Mara Game Reserve

  • Flight: Nairobi, KE (Wilson) to Masai Mara via Naivasha Loldia  Departing 10:00 am ‐ Arriving 11:00 am (1hr) (Economy)

You will be picked up in the morning by a  Shrike Safaris representative and get transferred to Wilson airport for departure to Maasai Mara. There might be a few stops at other lodges along the way. You will arrive in Mara at lunch time. Enjoy your hot lunch then relax for a while at the lodge before going for afternoon game viewing.

Day 3: 
| Masai Mara | Lake Manyara National park |

  • Flight: Masai Mara to Wilson Airport  Departing 11:00 ‐ Arriving 12:15 (1hr) (Economy)           
  • Flight: Wilson Airport to Lake Manyara Airstrip  Departing 12:40 – 15:15 (2hr35min)               

         ‐ with a connection  at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Tanzania

On arrival at Lake Manyara enjoy a thrilling game drive as you will be picked up at the airstrip and proceed with afternoon game viewing

Lake Manyara National Park, a destination famously held dear to Hemingway. Upon taking in the scenery of the ground water forest, you quickly realize why he named it his favorite park in all of Africa. The expert guide gives you the chance to search for elusive tree-climbing lions resting after a successful hunt, hippos cooling off in the water, and flamingoes flocking together in their natural habitat.

Day 4: 
| Lake Manyara | Great Rift Valley | Ngorongoro Crater |

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Crater with a stop over at the Great Rift valley escarpment and the green forest of Ngorongoro Highland. Enjoy full-day game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro crater, which has been declared a world heritage site, lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area that covers more than 8000 sq.km  With an area of 304 sq. km. the crater is the home of up to 30,000 large mammals. More than 100 species of birds not found in the Serengeti have been recorded here. This is the world's largest unbroken caldera and the 8th wonder of the world.  Our friendly safari guide is always happy to share with you about the behind the scene perspectives about the formation of the caldera, ecological facts and much much more..!

This is the only place in Africa where it is easy to find big cats like lions (5 prides of lions have been recorded), cheetah, clans of hyena, jackals, serval cats a few to mention. Search out for rarely seen black rhino


After a day of exploration, you retire to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, which offers the epitome of safari elegance. Relax by the rim of the Crater with your sundowner in hand or head to bed to rest up for tomorrow’s Serengeti adventures.

Day 5: 
| Ngorongoro | Serengeti National park | Kia Lodge.
After early breakfast, pack all your belongings, drive to Lake Manyara airstrip to take a local flight to the Serengeti with a decent lunch at Four Seasons Lodge!

Serengeti is arguably the Africa’s breathtaking National park. It is the home of millions of large mammals, including what is so called the Big 5: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and the rarely seen black rhinoceros. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded in the area, birds of prey, vultures, lovebirds, cranes, Bateleur, weavers, and our very own Shrike-Northern White-crowned Shrike. 
It is here where the world’s great migration takes place annually. Nile Crocodiles, the largest crocodile lie in wait in Serengeti rivers.


After a decent lunch at Four Seasons Lodge, proceed with game viewing and later start heading to Seronera airstrip where you will board your scheduled flight Kilimanjaro International airport and get transferred to KIA lodge, close to the airport.

Day 6: 
Kilimanjaro Airport | Jomo Kenyatta airport | Seychelles Island
After breakfast, pack all your belongings drive for approximately 2hrs to Kilimanjaro airport to take an hour flight to Nairobi and connect with a flight to Seychelles.
