MEET STEVE MBWAMBO

Family Safari Specialist

I grew up in a small village not far from Arusha National Park.

As a boy, I would guide my younger siblings through the bush, turning every footprint into a story, every birdcall into a lesson.

Over time, those childhood walks became the foundation of my calling—helping families discover Africa with the same sense of safety, joy, and awe that I once gave to my own.

Philosophy

I believe a family safari is not about how many lions you count.

But how those moments are felt together.

When children ask questions, I slow down; when grandparents tire, I find a gentler pace.

A safari should hold every generation in balance—each one discovering in their own rhythm.

My role is to read those needs quietly and shape each day so that wonder remains intact for all.

Impact on Guests

What I treasure most is watching parents see the bush through their children’s eyes.

I notice it when a mother smiles as her child whispers “zebra” for the first time, or when a father realizes that his teenager has put the phone away, lost in a horizon of wildebeest.

Guests often tell me they didn’t expect their safari to become such a family bond—but it always does. That is when I know I’ve done my part.

Let me show your children a world that still feels like discovery—one they’ll carry in their hearts long after the journey ends.
