Safari & Zanzibar Holiday
— 12 Days
Safari First. Then Time To Properly Slow Down.

A privately guided journey through Tanzania’s main wildlife areas, followed by quieter days beside the ocean in Zanzibar.
Designed for travelers who want both safari and beach time -
without either part of the journey feeling rushed or disconnected.
Safari Style: Mid-range— Comfortable & Immersive
Duration: 12 Days
Best For: Couples, honeymooners, first-time safari travelers, and travelers wanting both wildlife and relaxation
Typical Investment: From $600—$900 per person, per day

What The Journey Feels Like
Early mornings in the Serengeti, while the plains are still quiet.
Long game drives without needing to rush through sightings.
Evenings around the fire before dinner.
Then gradually, the rhythm changes.
Shoes come off.
The pace slows down.
Days beside the ocean become quieter and less structured.
The transition between safari and Zanzibar feels natural -
not like two separate trips forced together.
The Route
Arusha → Serengeti → Ngorongoro → Zanzibar → Departure
The safari portion is designed to feel immersive without becoming exhausting before Zanzibar begins.
That balance matters more than most travelers expect.
Too much movement during safari often leaves people arriving at the beach needing recovery instead of relaxation.
Where You Stay
The camps and lodges on this journey are chosen for:
-
strong wildlife access during safari
-
atmosphere and comfort
-
quieter surroundings
-
smooth transition between safari and coast
During safari, the camps feel connected to the landscape itself.
In Zanzibar, the experience becomes softer and slower -
with enough time to simply enjoy being beside the ocean without needing a schedule.

A Typical Day On Safari & Zanzibar
Some mornings begin before sunrise heading into the Serengeti while the air is still cold and quiet.
Other afternoons are spent back at camp watching the light change across the plains before dinner.
Then later in Zanzibar, the structure fades almost completely.
Long breakfasts.
Swimming in the afternoon.
Dinner beside the ocean without needing to be anywhere afterward.
The journey feels lighter as it unfolds.

A Recent Safari & Zanzibar Journey
Haylea & Ryan (USA) wanted both wildlife and time beside the ocean -
but didn’t want the journey to feel overloaded or rushed.
Originally, they planned fewer nights in Zanzibar, but later decided to extend their stay once the overall pace of the journey began taking shape.
Instead of adding too many parks, we focused on:
-
fewer locations experienced properly
-
enough time in the Serengeti
-
realistic pacing throughout the safari
-
a gradual transition into Zanzibar
Partway through the safari, Ryan also celebrated his birthday in the Serengeti with a quiet dinner and cake prepared at camp that evening.
Small moments like that often become part of what travelers remember most.
The result was a journey that felt balanced and personal from beginning to end.
“The whole trip flowed naturally. By the time we reached Zanzibar, we could actually slow down and fully enjoy it.”
— Haylea Nisbet, USA
