Shrike Journey Credit

Shrike Safaris understands that life can change.
Our journeys are designed thoughtfully, and we also aim to approach flexibility with the same care.

The Shrike Journey Credit offers peace of mind while honoring the design work and supplier commitments involved in creating each tailor-made safari.

What Is the Shrike Journey Credit

The Shrike Journey Credit allows amounts paid above the non-refundable deposit to be applied toward a future Shrike Safaris journey if a confirmed booking is cancelled.

This is offered as a gesture of goodwill and reflects our belief in long-term relationships with our travelers.

How It Works

If a confirmed booking is cancelled by the traveler, the following applies:

​

  • The 30% deposit is forfeited.

  • Any amount paid above the 30% deposit may be converted into a travel credit.

  • Travel credit may be applied toward a new Shrike Safaris journey within 36 months (3 years) of the original departure date.

  • Travel credit is valid for the original traveler or may be transferred once to friends or immediate family.

  • Travel credit has no cash value and is not redeemable for a refund.

  • New journeys are subject to availability and prevailing rates at the time of rebooking.

 

This policy acknowledges that design work and supplier payments have already taken place while offering flexibility where possible.

When Shrike Journey Credit Is Not Applicable

  • Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are subject to 100% forfeiture and are not eligible for travel credit.

  • Supplier-specific cancellation terms may be stricter and will take precedence where applicable.

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and should cover trip cancellation, interruption, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation.

The Shrike Journey Credit is not a substitute for travel insurance.
